No one is really talking about the actual awards last night. It was one speech that has everyone – even Trump – talking this morning.
Turning attention away from herself and toward Donald J. Trump, Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes to call out the president-elect without ever saying his name.

First, she talked about Hollywood being made up of people from all over the country, and the world

Then she talked about the one performance that “stunned” her. And it was Trump mocking the physical handicap of that “New York Times” reporter.
At the end Meryl Streep cried as she talked about some advice Carrie Fisher once gave her. She played Carrie in “Postcards From the Edge”.

Trump, who was silent on socail media ll evening responded on Twiter Monday morning:

Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never “mocked” a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him “groveling” when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!
