Game of Thrones’ fans: A college will offer a course on Dothraki

The fictional language Dothraki on Game of Thrones is the latest made-up lingo to capture fan’s curiosity.

UC Berkeley is hoping to capitalize on that with “The Linguistics of ‘Game of Thrones’ and the Art of Language Invention,” which will be taught for six weeks over the summer by the language’s creator, David J. Peterson.

He also created the show’s High Valyrian language and has worked with Shannara Chronicles and The 100 on developing distinctive finctional languages.
